Sunrise Children's Services , Inc. is a historic 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Since 1869, this nonprofit ministry has continuously affiliated with Kentucky Baptists. Today, the Commonwealth of Kentucky licenses Sunrise as a Behavioral Health Services Organization (BHSO) which provides foster care, residential, therapeutic treatment and community-based services statewide.
Sunrise Children's Services provides care and hope for hurting families and children through Christ-centered ministries. Sunrise Children's Services has been at the forefront in the fight to protect Kentucky's children since 1869. Today, Sunrise is a home for children who have been abused and neglected — children whose lives have been scarred by unspeakable physical, sexual, and emotional abuse — and who have been removed from their homes.
