About

In 2001, with the encouragement of the resort and restaurant community, the Grand Rivers City Council adopted legislation to create the Grand Rivers Tourism Commission. The goal of the Commission is to serve our community and our visitors by promoting and creating positive visitor experiences, fostering economic development and enhancing the quality of life. Tourism Commission funds are derived from the 1% restaurant tax and the 3% room taxes paid by hotel and restaurant guests. The taxes that fund the Grand Rivers Tourism Commission are collected from restaurants and hotels within the city limits of Grand Rivers.
